Food....love it!

That was a quote from Rick as he was introducing our first hour - talking about restaurants with the Daily News' Valerie Mansour. What a great job she has, I would love to do that one day. Anyway, it's always fun talking about favourite restaurants etc, but the worst part is we're always STARVED at the end of the hour! Of course, Rick was on the prowl for his beloved clubhouse sandwich. One caller told us Hungry Jack's on the #7 Highway would fit the bill! Rick hasn't gone to the Rocky Lake Diner in Bedford yet. The last time Rick made his clubhouse plea, Junior called and told him to head there.

Tim called and told us that 9 times out of 10 the Lion's Head steak was good. I guess having edible food 90 per cent of the time is a good ratio. Should it not be higher for a restaurant?

Another caller was looking for a great Hot and Sour soup and Valerie suggested Cheelin at the Brewery Market. Another call recommended a place called Finbar's Irish Pub in Bedford for the Portobello burger. Rick had never heard of that, can you believe how sheltered he is? And - he's never tried Hummus? There is so much great food he is denying himself! He did say he had the best burger of his life at Hooters in Calgary! He says he was pressured by the "young guys" to go there. You might have heard me say "Whatever!" across the desk.

There were so many issues to raise during hour number 2. From the Harper snub of Rodney MacDonald to the sad deaths of 6 Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, it was very busy.

Of course, it wouldn't be an open hour unless someone called to slam City Council. Today's slam du jour came courtesy of Jim, who said: "They couldn't organize a woodpecker dinner in Sherwood Forest". Awesome.

As well, it wouldn't be a Hotline show unless we heard from my beloved Ben. He called during the final few minutes of the Restaurant hour. He called to ask when Rick was coming to Brokeback Island because he makes a mean breakfast in bed! (Insert Amber's hysterical laughter here). I can always count on Ben for one great laugh a day.

Well, no sports on tomorrow's show, but we'll have a city councillor in; get your potshots ready!

Cheers,

Amber

To bad I missed today's to early in the morning Hotline Show, would have liked to have gotten my usual chuckle from the Local's impressions of politics and our Prime Minister Harper. We finally get a Prime Minister who's cleaning up 25+years of organized criminal corruption at both the Federal and Nova Scotia Provincial levels and the Locals can't get it.

Tiss Folly To Be Wise Where Ignorance Is Bliss. - Nova Scotia's Provincial Motto.

For all of you who have been brain dead for the last 25 years and missed or didn't understand the organized criminal corruption in your Federal and cesspool of a Provincial government since and during the Buchannan-Mulroney-
The Traitor Chretien-Dingwall. This time frame includes the Provincial Liberano's regime in the 1990's. During the 1980's, Nova Scotia borrowed $3 Billion US Dollars from Saudi Arabia. Add the interest on to $3 Billion US Dollars NOW How much do You think your going to see in any Offshore Money? Ask Bill Casey, he'll be able to tell You. Zilch, notta, zero. You nor your kids, even doubt if any of your grandkids will live long enough to see a dime of that money benefit this province, it's infrastructure, Nova Scotian's lifestyle.
FOI-Freedom of Information, check it out, 1983-$500m 1984-$500m & 1987-$2b totals $3 Billion US Dollars.
If you, your kids and grandkids are smart, you'd get the H out of NS before you end up on a Hospital floor with diseased water and having contracted a Hospital acquired infection in addition to the illness that put you there, then being denied the Medical Care You need to keep You alive.

Nova Scotian's are still under some false impression, false hope that The Accord deal Casey voted against is going to benefit them as citizens. Ha-when will they ever learn. The same national & international crooks associated to Buchannan, Dingwall, Mulroney & Chretien, gov. era, Still are within and associated to the NS government, MacDonald is just another of their puppets.
MacDonald, it was reported, was out breaking his marriage vows while campaigning on the platform, after he got caught-
" Nova Scotia Family's First."
Yeah right-tell that to
Sandy and Helli Munroe.
The Nova Scotia Crown Prosecutors Office doesn't think it's in Society's best interest, putting Nova Scotia Families First. Heck-according to Nova Scotia's Crown, what they've indicated is that it's not in Nova Scotia Society's Best Interest to pursue a case where a Canadian citizen has been kidnapped from her Country to a foreign Country, stolen from her family, her husband of 43 years.

What kind of a Society has Nova Scotia become? What kind of a person are you, what kind of a person have You become?

What a stupid OnLine Poll Question.
Friday, July 5.
Everyday there are Thousand's-
THOUSANDS of Children being brainwashed in Pakistan-Afghanistan. If NATO troops don't take care of it there, there will be more terrorism happening in our own backyard.

DOCTORS do YOU get it, it was 7 foreign terrorist DOCTORS who got caught in England.

Anybody who doesn't understand the ramifications of this situation is a bloody FOOL.

Now THAT's Funny Ben. PEI is the most gay-lesbian predjudiced......
not at all like Mahone Bay, Lunenburg-Bridgewater, place is over-populated with them, even sitting in the church pews of the Bilgewater church against same-sex marriage.
We don't hear & see our Hetrosexual friends flaunting and talking about their sexuality and let me tell ya, Lunenburg County is sick of the gays & Lesbians flaunting it all over the place. It's really become quite. nauseating. Question-how is it so many Homosexuals are adopting so many children in Lunenburg County area? This question is asked in all seriousness. There's a large number of foreigners adopting kids in Lunenburg County. Buy property in the County, go back to their country. ????? What's with that?
Anybody know?

Amber, I probably won't hear too much of the show today. I hope Rick has a nice vacation. We will miss him. I enjoy the hotline, keep up the good work.
